European river cruising with the industry pioneer
A river cruise is a great way to explore Europe and who better to choose than the industry pioneer CroisiEurope who can help you travel in style and comfort and offer organised excursions to help you discover the area
Founded in 1976, CroisiEurope is a family-owned company and pioneer in river cruising in Europe. Operating more than 50 ships, CroisiEurope cruises take you on the Rhine and the Moselle, the Danube, the Seine, the Garonne, Gironde and Dordogne around the Bordeaux region and its wine country, and the Rhône and Saône. Southern Europe is also among the most successful destinations offered by Europe’s leading company, with cruises on the Douro in Portugal, the Guadiana and Guadalquivir in Spain, and the Po River in Italy. CroisiEurope also launched cruises on the Loire and the Elbe on board paddle wheel ships, and operates six hotel barges to experience gliding along the tranquil waters of Champagne, Provence, the Loire, Burgundy and Alsace.
CroisiEurope also offers exotic river cruises in faraway destinations including the Mekong in Vietnam, the Chobe River in Botswana and Zambia, as well as the Volga in Russia. Mediterranean itineraries feature in the wide range of destinations with cruises along the Adriatic coast and from Naples.
Eager to remain at the forefront of river cruise innovations, as it did in 2015 and 2016 with two paddle wheel ships, the MS Loire Princess and the MS Elbe Princess, CroisiEurope will pursue the expansion of its fleet in 2018, adding more premium rated ships to sail on European rivers.
Beginning April 2017, the MS Miguel Torga has been launched to sail the Douro River in Portugal, sailing from Porto and stopping in Regua, Vega de Terron, Ferradosa and Pinhão. The three-deck ship boasts a pool, contemporary interior design and 66 cabins that accommodate 132 passengers. Hosting eight-day cruises, it has joined CroisiEurope’s four other ships on the ‘Golden River’. A fifth ship on the Douro is being planned for 2019.
In the winter of 2017, the MS Belle de l’Adriatique will take guests from Nice to Naples. It will then continue with CroisiEurope’s exclusive maritime and coastal cruise programmes taking passengers around the breathtaking bay of Naples – experience the Dolce Vita along the Amalfi coast, Calabria and Capri for a blend of natural beauty and ancient history, ideal for winter sunshine.
For those in search of river cruises combining cycle tourism, CroisiEurope has put together cruise and bike itineraries through France. Following the trend of slow travel and the return to nature, passengers can enjoy CroisiEurope’s three different itineraries and explore the Bordeaux region, Loire Valley and Rhône Valley. CroisiEurope will provide bikes and technical support along the way.
Furthermore, CroisiEurope will be enhancing their excursions to offer guests an even wider choice and meet passengers’ growing demand for more authentic and immersive experiences. Expanding the types of activities on offer, the company has launched new excursion packages for each cruise itinerary called Active Discovery Packages.
Guests can discover new energetic, unusual and original excursions, which will surprise and enchant those looking to experience more adventurous and sensation-filled activities. Unusual tours, sights off the beaten path, local product tasting, helicopter rides and bike tours are among the many exciting experiences CroisiEurope has hand-picked for their passengers!
CroisiEurope’s cruises have an international feel with a French touch on board and boast the widest selection of destinations and itineraries with great value for money. The cuisine is designed in the finest tradition of French culinary excellence with local variations.
