Win a fantastic French island holiday and ferry crossing with Sunêlia and Brittany Ferries

To celebrate FRANCE Magazine’s 30th anniversary, we’re giving away a seven-night stay on the glorious Île de Ré

Win a seven-night stay for up to four people at Sunêlia Interlude on the glorious Île de Ré, a chic holiday bolthole situated on France’s Atlantic Coast. Interlude is the leading five-star holiday village on the island and one of 30 high-end parks in the Sunêlia Vacances portfolio.

The prize includes a return crossing with Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Saint-Malo and accommodation on the island in a well-equipped two-bedroom cottage with daily breakfast, one dinner and two days’ cycle hire. The holiday starts on the ferry, enjoying the on-board entertainment, bars and restaurants before a good night’s sleep in an en-suite cabin. In contrast to the long slog from Calais, it’s an easy drive of about four hours from Saint-Malo to the Île de Ré, connected to the mainland by a bridge at La Rochelle.

Interlude’s 18-acre site is ideally placed for barefoot access to the most beautiful of the island’s gently shelving sandy beaches, Bois Plage. Interlude has its own aqua-park with indoor and outdoor heated pools, and spa. La Grillérade restaurant opens onto the dunes and serves fresh seafood dinners and regional specialities.

If you can tear yourself away, take the bikes out to explore the island which is almost flat, less than 20 miles long by three miles wide, and well served by a network of cycle paths. Discover charming villages, local markets and fishing harbours, as well as the Phare des Baleines, one of the oldest lighthouses in France. And keep your eyes peeled for the island’s mascot – donkeys in traditional striped pyjamas!

The competition opens on 31 December and runs until 31 January. To enter, click here and answer the question… bonne chance!
