This memoir fomr American food writer M.F.K Fisher, originally published in 1964, takes the reader to Aix-en-Provence, where Fisher relocated with her daughters after the Second World War. Fisher captures the spirit of Post-War Provence through its landscape and people – in her words it is “my map, of a place and therefore myself”.
