French strikes: travel disruption anticipated

Those travelling to France this week are being advised to check their travel arrangements in the light of the industrial action taking place in France.

Flights between the UK and France face disruptions, with many rail services also likely to be delayed or cancelled.

The strikes, which are expected to continue until Wednesday morning, are being held as French unions challenge the Government’s plans to raise the retirement age from 60 to 62.
